Hearing to focus on improvements to traffic flow and efficiency on I-465 and U.S. 31
INDIANAPOLIS, IN (April 30, 2025) – The Indiana Department of Transportation will host a public hearing for the Level Up 31 project to share project information and gather feedback from the public.
The hearing will take place on Tuesday, May 13 at the Drury Plaza Hotel – Indianapolis (9625 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis, IN 46290). Doors will open at 5:00 p.m. with a formal presentation to begin at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the public hearing is to share updates on project development and to offer the public a formal opportunity to submit questions and comments for the project record.
Construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2025. The proposed maintenance of traffic plan includes phased construction and closures. Prior to construction, temporary pavement will be constructed where needed to maintain travel lanes throughout construction.
Level Up 31 aims to enhance the efficiency and capacity of the interchange between I-465 and U.S. 31 (Meridian Street) to alleviate traffic congestion and improve safety.
